What are the advantages of coated sand casting:
The processing method of High-speed Railway Axle Support Ring is coated sand casting, which is a molding sand covered with a solid resin film on the surface of the hard mold during the molding and core making process. Core sand is called coated sand casting. This molding process has the following advantages:
High-speed Railway Axle Support Ring has less pollution during processing: the field environment of coated sand casting has been significantly improved. Since a large amount of coal powder (a combustion-supporting material) is added to the clay sand, it is mainly used to improve the appearance quality and air permeability of live parts. The coal powder added to the sand cannot be reused, resulting in a waste of resources. Thin sand layer, less consumption: low production cost, less waste, used molding sand can be recycled and reused. Because the sand layer of the coated sand casting method is relatively thin, the sand layer is usually designed according to the wall thickness of the live parts to be 5-10mm. The amount of sand covered by clay sand molding can reach 30-50cm, and the sand used is 10-20mm times.
Coated sand castings change the appearance quality of the blank, reduce the cutting allowance, improve the process yield and stabilize the quality.
